? What is sarrus wood

  • It is a famous Egyptian tree called Al-Samta or Al-Sarsu, which grows only in Africa. It is native to Aswan and Kom Ombo in Upper Egypt.
  • Sarsus trees have very distinctive features, with a tree height of about 25 meters and a lower trunk circumference of about 180 cm.
  • Sarrus wood is distinguished by its durability, beautiful colors, and flexibility in transforming raw wood into exquisite, perfectly smooth products that will last a lifetime.
  • Sarrus wood is usually dried before it is used in the manufacture of furniture, a process known as quenching. Locally, it is left in open areas to dry under the sun for six months.
  • The color of the heartwood is gradual from dark brown to pale brown

  • You can also see naturally wood grain in different colors like yellow, brown and black and how it comes from nature
  • In addition to being a very hard tree, it is distinguished by its secret oils that make the wood soft and insulating for any chemical reaction.
  • The finished product is then coated with a glossy varnish for a glossy finish and added protection.
